For the month of JUNE 2023, we will be reading HRs which include a Disabled Lead Character. Romances where one or both main characters are living with a physical or mental disability. Can include addictions.
Rules of Nominations:

1. Not more than 2 novel nominations per member.
2. No book we have read as a group read in the last 2 yrs. (Please check the group's Bookshelf)
3. No author we have read in the last one year (see below).

The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley. A very popular HR I'd happily reread.


The books from Mary Balogh's Survivors' Club series would fit in well for this theme, but unfortunately she's on the ineligible list for this month.

My second nomination: The Parfit Knight by Stella Riley. Lead female character is blind. It's the first book in a series but can stand alone. I read it some years ago and would like to try it again.

I had actually suggested Mary Balogh"s Lord Carew's Bride, but I can July recommended 2, so I went with these 2.
I would.have also love to recommend "A Simple Lady" by Carolyn Carew. In this bk, the h is wrongly diagnosed as a mentally disabled woman all through her life. since I can't officially recommend.any more, do pick it up to read.
