We're moving through 2023 at a scarily rapid pace, but it's time for everyone to nominate a book for our May 2023 group read.

We'll continue on with our different tasks each month.

For May's read we are looking for A book where the title starts with "M" (ignore A, An, The)
So, nominate a crime/mystery/thriller/suspense book to cover the May task :)

Don't forget - 1st in a series, if a series

This thread will be open until 10th April, then nominations will go to the vote.

Authors and publishers, please don't nominate your own work!

Just read the first post through Jan. It says "For May's read we are looking for A book where the title starts with "M" (ignore A, An, The)

Great you've joined us as well :)

It is also known as The Keeper of Lost Causes, but the one I have is titled Mercy.

It's the first of the Department Q series.

I will second your nomination Patty - an excellent series!

You're very welcome :) And The Mother by Jane Caro is a great choice!

Em__Jay | 47 comments Murder in the Telephone Exchange by June Wright.

First published in 1948, and, according to the Abbey's website was the best selling mystery book that year, even outselling Agatha Christie.

It's the first book in the Maggie Byrnes series - although there are only two books in total.
