April Subdue the Shelf Roll Requests
Ok, I may regret this the next roll or so, but I am using my second free swap to avoid The Sandcastle Girls. I just cannot read another sad book. I am switching it to a book I missed reading in the beginning Oathblood. Sandcastle was 299 pages, this one is 394, so I think that works.

Wow, so weird. I took a look. The paperback is 667 on Amazon (and the Kindle edition on Amazon says 669), so let's go with that.

Heads up for the master gameboard:I am using the special advantage I got on April 4: Move 5 spaces in front of the person who is next in front of you. Use this special advantage when you wish.
Ellen is currently next in front of me on the Porter board at #35, so I am moving to #40 now (just finished/posted review of the book from my most recent roll)

Thank you, Theresa! Hope I won't get stuck in the Caboose for too long:)

Look at you go Pam!
Oh, is it too late to get a roll of 2 dice. I just posted my review for 500+ page book. Babel: An Arcane History.
560 pages

I seem to be pulling the 2+4 combo as my 'regular' roll! Next up is #77 for me - a mystery I meant to read last year for the Edgars! Sleep Well, My Lady by Kwei Quartey. Already have as own the ebook.
Theresa, we are sitting just a couple of seats away! I get a paris book for my number 73. The Paris hours by Alex George.
Amy wrote: "Theresa, we are sitting just a couple of seats away! I get a paris book for my number 73. The Paris hours by Alex George."We'll be toasting and snacking as we read! Let's try to move into Parlor Car at the same time -- the luxury accommodation starts there.
Twice in a row, I have rolled a total of four after consistently, rolling sevens and 11βs. I certainly hope my next role gets me there and you too! Iβm at the library now, picking up the Paris hours.
I landed on 3 books with "Dark Academia" tags in row! I had no idea I had so many of these. The lucky 7 combo gives me the option to read the one just before or after, so I'll read Conversations with Friends instead (is it dark too?)
@Anita and @JoAnne - I ran out of space (the Super Swap ate up a lot of space, clearly) in my Clerk tracking. I moved the first 56 #s on my Clerk Gameboard to a new comment, leaving a link to them in their place in my primary comment. All the notes etc. remain at the bottom of the orginal comment. I hope that's clear?!
I would like to take my skip-a-book advantage 6-4 roll from 2/16/23 and request a new roll today.Perhaps this is not right away but my #57 is a graphic novel (I tried to keep those off the list) about the Green Lantern (not at all what I expected, and basically unknown to me.)
This was the post:

Anaressa, your 6-4 earns you a surprise advantage. Your advantage is "skip a book". You may use it at any time. So when you land on a space, you may opt to request another roll right away and take your next move without reading the book.

I'm finally halfway through my book and am ready for another roll (2). I shall at long last be leaving the baggage car, guaranteed because I'm in the last seat possible in baggage.

The Firefighters will be greeting you when you arrive with specially created cocktails and snacks, including freshly made warm brownies.
I'm ready for another π² dice roll (3).My last book was 608 pages.

Thanks for the rolling reminders/help. Much needed.
Joanne, you have a special advantage. Add up all the individual digits in your birth date DD/MM/YYYY and move that many spaces ahead. You may use at your discretion.
Oooh, JoAnne! That is a lovely advantage! I mean, you definitely have a '9' as one of the digits at the very least! I am jealous as if that were my advantage that would be 38 spaces!
Yay, I got more on one die than two last time (however, last time's book was good and worked for a Birthday candle!)
If we have already read a book (π yes I did this in error early in the game) is there a rule as to what to? My role of ten takes me to 54, which I already read. I thought to use my special role now, but that takes me to 88-Ugh-My library has since purged this book and it is not available through my inter-library. HELP!

Anita - I'm confused about what page number to use here. There are no hardback copies available on Amazon and the hardbacks listed in the Goodreads edition are all in foreign languages.
The most popular edition is the Kindle copy at 717 pages. There is a paperback edition with 667 pages.
