I dunno. Just thinking what others thought they would look like. For me, I think Nao would be really cute and have her bald head but she would wear cute caps and like a cute outfit from when she hung out with Babette. I feel like Jinko would give Nao most of her genes so Jinko would be cute too, with her shiny bald head and sagging cheeks hanging from her face.

well ruth in the book would definitely look like the real life ruth ozeki. as for nao, the standard just-below-shoulder black hair. definitely bangs since she seems like the type (partially referencing the cover). i can see a babyface that would follow her well into adulthood as well nao would definitely be the more unassuming type.
For some reason, I envision Ruth with greying but slightly auburn hair. A very dark brown that is... slightly auburn. It's hard to explain. But also, as the author Ruth Ozeki herself. I envision Nao as the girl in the cover of the book.
