I'm looking for a book I started reading in middle school before having to return it to the public library. For reference I went to middle school from 2015-2018 but I'm not sure if it was published around that time or not. From what I remember the book was about 2 or maybe 3 siblings(I remember their at least being 1 brother and 1 sister) who move into their distant relatives house(maybe uncle) because their dad is in a coma I think. Their relative or uncle tells them not to go into the basement but the sister defies that and goes down anyways and finds a time machine portal. So the brother has to go save her. I also remember their being this room with a lot of pictures or mirrors everywhere. They only thing I remember about the cover is that the main color was a light sky blue or maybe robins egg blue and I think there was a long word in the title like mysterious or something like that and time I think. It's not a series of unfortunate events. Does anyone know what book this is?

Damn that kind of sounds like Fairest of All. I ain't sure about the dad in a coma and saving the sister, but they are saving a happy ending through a mirror in a basement. And the cover has that same color. If it isn't, do you somewhat remember the ages of the siblings because that story sounds really familiar.

I believe it was more of a portal but I'm not 100% sure
And no I don't remember the ages unfortunately
They might go through a painting or mirror first and then later by an actual time machine I'm not sure though
