Trying to remember the name of a series I read somewhere from 1994-1997 when they were new. I think the series was very generically titled 'Dark ...'something) The main character is a girl (with maybe a 'tough' name) who lives with her dad and her cat Jabberwocky. She rides a motorcycle. The main thing I remember is she has to go up against a scary organization called Umbra. Possibly because they kidnapped her dad? There is a boy who helps her fight, I think he may have had special powers. All details of what they are fighting for or about are completely lost to me! I remember reading at least 3 books. Did anyone else read these?
