I am looking for a person who wants to read my updated version of a social fiction novel with antropocentric themes. If you like classical music, especially string quartet, that would be an advantage. The novel is called: The String Quartet, 83.000 words. For more info: www.joslangens.com

*****Testimonials*****
*****A fresh and objective look at the content, deeply connected to reality (while remaining spiritually connected), an honest feedback both for the material and for other reviews which followed the current trend of hyper focused sensitivity. Anna was able to assess the content without being influenced by her preferences, as well as to provide hints for handling adversity an author can face, along with useful guidelines for the next steps. Thank you!*****
*****Thank you so much! Anna was so very kind with all my questions, quick and honest. Thank you so much for your service!!! :)*****
thank you for contacting me and providing all the info. What I am looking for is a person who will read my manuscript and while reading, write the impressions that you have, at that moment, in the text.
This can be comments like : This part is becoming boring because you repeat to many times; this part is exciting, keep it like this; here I get confused because ….; here I would ad some more background regarding …; this is funny …;
I really appreciate honest, straightforward feedback, so no sugarcoating.
My aim is to rewrite the story based on your feedback.
(Next step will probably be editing and proofreading)
The novel is about the choice that people can make to join a moral superior collective (and receive power) or stay their own imperfect self, struggling with everyday life.
The string quartet with their music provides the opportunity to make this choice.
There is quite some string quartet music involved, especially of Shostakovich, who himself suffered with this choice in his context.
In the story, the choice, or the “right choice”, as they themselves call it, can be applicable to any moral superior group (who (mis-) uses that superiority because of having the greater numbers).
Could you inform me:
1. What the costs would be
2. How long it would take (there is no deadline on my side)
Would you offer the option of doing a free trial of a brief part?
Thank in advance for your reply.
Kind regards,
Jos Langens

While I'm not a US native, I would love to critique your manuscript. I will leave comments on the manuscript while reading so that you can get my immediate reactions and targeted queries, and I'll touch on the pacing, character development, sequence, prose, dialogue, and plot amongst other elements in my overall feedback.
I'm happy to provide samples of my report, a link to my testimonials, and a more detailed service sheet. Good Morning,
$125 for the full read.
Three weeks to complete.
Sample reads are difficult. I do provide inline comments. Positive and negative. I share all my thoughts. I often find that I need to read two - four chapters first to get a feel fornthe author, the story and the flow, then I start over and leave comments.
I find that authors need time to develop their flow and it is very difficult to judge from the first chapter. That sometimes ends up where the most changes are needed.

With all the above in mind, if you would like to share your work via Google Docs I could read the first few chapters and see if we are a fit.83annawheeler@gmail.com
Hi Jos,I am interested in beta reading for you. I am a US native and also very interested in music of all kinds. I am especially interested in your anthropocentric theme and how it relates with classical music as well. The things you mention in your second response here are exactly what I provide in my beta reading. I focus on giving actionable responses and constructive criticism.
My website, https://whatayeshareads.blogspot.com/... has more information about my services, examples of my commenting style, and testimonials. There are also more testimonials on my Goodreads thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I charge $1.50 per 1000 words ($124.50) and I could get it back to you by the end of April. I am willing to provide a sample. Please email me at aag2474@gmail.com for that.
Thanks,
Ayesha
