Kevin Ramos | 7 comments what I got from the book was that there was this library with a old man stealing kids and then making them read to fill them with knowledge as to make them more "creamy" as how the librarian said to the boy when him and the sheep man were caught trying to escape, the reason why they tried to flee was because they were both kidnaped by this old man. is this book about child pedos ? im not sure but I found this book very strange and weird, what the author did well was his descriptive language that makes it easier for the reader to understand what is going on even though I still don't understand what the authors reason was on this book. Aaron | 5 comments The author described well that the teachers in small town don't actually teach the subject and are there to fill in the spot. For example he was talking about a science teacher leaving the school and was replaced with an old math teacher to help teach science.

Juan Nava | 6 comments The Hunger Games is a novel about Katniss Everdeen, who's forced to fight other children in an arena. The book takes place in Panem, which was once in North America and has limited resources. In order to keep the citizens under control, the government separates them into districts and reinforces class differences.

Something that the author described well is how he recieved the letter from his daughter and the pictures from her wedding and how they made him feel and how that was what pushed him over the edge and made him think about his drinking and depression and his bad behavior is what made them not want him there and he had also become a embarrassment

Brandon | 7 comments Title: The crucible
In the very first paragraph the author used descriptive writing to create a image for the reader to imagine and this image was of the starting scene. The diction used by the author is very vivid so you can create a picture of this scene in your head. For example, "There is a narrow window at the left. Through its leaded planes the morning sunlight streams. A candle still burns near the bed, which is at the right." This gives a vivid description of the setting for this scene and the author did a amazing job describing something because this allows you to envision yourself in the room that is being described and they do this by pointing out every detail of the room and nothing is left out.

Christopher | 8 comments In Undoing Drugs beyond Legalization the author describes well how the war on drugs hasn't been as successful as then would of wanted it. The author talks about even though the government has bans on drugs most people will still find an way to get them, as they go into detail of how the war on drugs won't end anytime soon.

The Author from the book describe that his mother passed away two months ago and his Father thinks she was killed by her own thoughts and The Joy Luck Club said she died just like a rabbit quickly and with unfinished business left behind. And so his mother started the San Francisco version of the joy luck club in 1949, two years before he was born.

Estefania | 5 comments something that the author describe well is that you shouldn't be judging someone if you don't even know them. its way better to have a small circle because the people who you think they're your friends they are not. the girl melinda they would always get make fun of. so for example, judging someone is without knowing them is like reading a book without opening it. so never judge a book without their cover.
