Read in the 1990s but I think it was a 70's or 80s book. She gets dumped by her mom who is travelling and has to stay with her aunt at this house where she is doing a dig for the ancient family's descendants. Girl sleeps in a room with an old dresser and there is an old hand mirror, which makes her time travel. It makes her sick.

Maybe....New Hampshire doesn't feel right though, I think the house was too old to be in the US......
