Romanticbookworm | 410 comments Hi Nancy here are your picks for the month below:

April babies are either an Aries or a Taurus
Aries celebrate their birthdays between April 1 and April 19, while anyone born between April 20 and April 30 is a Taurus. Aries are typically seen as "passionate and independent" trailblazers, while Taureans are often "smart, ambitious and trustworthy."🟣My son is an Aries, if you were wondering.
Recommend a book
🟣published in April of any year
🟣with a character considered independent or ambitious (your interpretation)
🟣with an author whose first and last initials are in either ARIES or TAURUS

TBR: The Investigator : The Investigator (Letty Davenport, #1) by John Sandford ( April Release)
NEW: Matchmakers Playbook- The Matchmaker's Playbook (Wingmen Inc., #1) by Rachel Van Dyken - (April Release- really enjoyed this one when I read it.

There are two birth flowers for April
Both the daisy and the sweet pea are considered birth flowers for the month of April. Both of these are imbued with happy feelings: The sweet pea signifies bliss and pleasure, while daisies are said to represent childhood innocence, loyalty and purity.🟣Neither of these represent my son, although I'm sure he is quite innocent!
Recommend a book
🟣with flowers on the cover
🟣with a character you consider sweet
🟣with a child in the story

TBR - The Wanton - The Wanton by Rosemary Rogers (bookcover) (flowers on cover)

NEW- Duke Wears A Kilt - The Duke Wears a Kilt by Sarah Locksley (flowers on cover) - really enjoyed this one.

April is a funny month to be born
Of course, everyone knows that April 1 is April Fools' Day. But the whole month actually celebrates comedy. April is National Humor Month, which was created to share the “therapeutic value of humor."🟣My son can be quite witty when he tries.
Recommend a book
🟣tagged humor, funny or similar
🟣with a person smiling on the cover
🟣that is a favorite author (of yours or your pickee)

TBR - Out Of Clear Sky - Out of the Clear Blue Sky by Kristan Higgins (Humor)

NEW- Ivan - Ivan (Underworld, #1) by Sophie Lark (favourite author)

April babies share a birth month with the Queen
And that's not their only birth-month twins. In addition to Queen Elizabeth II, Mandy Moore, Jennifer Garner, Leonardo da Vinci, David Letterman, Jackie Chan, William Shakespeare, Jessica Alba and Eddie Murphy were all born in April.🟣He wasn't very impressed with this list.
Recommend a book
🟣with a character who is royalty or part of the aristocracy (duke, earl, etc)
🟣with an author or character with the same name as one listed above (reasonable variations allowed)
🟣with all of the letters of TWIN in the title/subtitle

TBR-Nine Rules To Break Romancing A Rake - Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Love By Numbers, #1) by Sarah MacLean (Royalty)

NEW-Traded - Traded (Midnight Royals, #1) by Tori Leigh (Royalty)

April's birthstone is the diamond
April babies are extra lucky when it comes to birthstones: Theirs is the diamond, which, according to the Gemological Institute of America is known for longevity, strength, beauty and happiness. It's also the most durable of all the birthstones.🟣If he was a girl, he'd care more about this one!
Recommend a book
🟣with diamond on the cover (gem or shape)
🟣with a beautiful cover (your interpretation)
🟣that is long (over 400 pages)

TBR-By A Thread - By a Thread by Lucy Score (Beautiful cover)

NEW- Air He Breathes - The Air He Breathes (Elements, #1) by Brittainy C. Cherry (Beautiful cover)

April babies have a very desirable birthday
According to a study out of the University of Exeter, first-time moms in the United States would prefer to have a spring birthday for their babies. In fact, the study found that "were it possible to pay to guarantee a spring birth, on average a married woman aged between 20 – 45 would be willing to part with $877 to achieve it."🟣Huh. Not something he'd pay for whether he was a mom or a dad.
Recommend a book
🟣set in the spring time (March, April, May)
🟣with a character who is a mother
🟣with a page count containing an 8 or 7

TBR - Book of Lost Friend- The Book of Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate (page count -8)

NEW- Cruel Prince - Cruel Prince (Royal Hearts Academy, #1) by Ashley Jade (page count 8)

They're likely to be in good health
According to a Columbia University medical study, people born in this month are less likely to be affected by cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory and reproductive diseases than people born throughout the rest of the year.🟣He's healthy, thank goodness.
Recommend a book
🟣with a 'fit' person on the cover (your interpretation)
🟣with a character who does something considered healthy (exercises, eats healthy meals, etc.)
🟣with a title starting with a letter in HEALTHY

TBR - The Highland Fling - The Highland Fling by Meghan Quinn (Title starting with healthy)

NEW- Secret Plunge - Secret Plunge (Kings of the Water, #1) by Jasmin Miller (fit person) or Beauty andHighlander Beauty and The Highlander (Moriag, #1) by Hildie McQueen (incase you dont want a sport romance)

April babies are generally more optimistic
People born in March, April and May score high on what’s called the hyperthymia scale, according to U.K. researchers. Hyperthymia is the scientific term for general optimism, so April babies are likely to see the glass as half-full or find the silver lining in every situation.🟣THIS describes my boy!
Recommend a book
🟣with a generally happy character
🟣with a glass or cloud on the cover or has the color silver or a silver item on the cover
🟣with all the letters of LIAM in the title/subtitle (my son's name

TBR- Family you make The Family You Make (Sunrise Cove, #1) by Jill Shalvis (cloud)

New - Lesson in Corruption Lessons in Corruption (The Fallen Men, #1) by Giana Darling (silver item)

I hope you find a couple of great reads if you need any any repicks just let me know :).

Finished Work for It and Sanctuary. Sanctuary, new book, was much more up my alley than Work For It, from my TBR. Gonna give Mr. Fixer Upper a try later in the month. The cover is terrible, but that almost makes me want to read it more, lol.

Haha. It does have such a terrible cover! I also read it because it was picked for me a few years ago for something. I haven't really enjoyed too many Lucy Score books but for some reason that one really entertained me. I hope it does you too!
I'm glad you liked Sanctuary! I've really enjoyed just about every Kelly Fox book I've read, with only a couple exceptions.
As for Work For It - at least you cleared a book off your TBR. ;)

I read keywords: queer. shifter. romance. I didn't even take in the cover. When I discovered the MC was a paleontologist, and the other MC was a dinosaur shifter, I thought it was going to be delightfully weird. Turns out it was just delightful. The banter is exquisite. I am also a fool for dimples and really related to the MCs infatuation.

Finished Mr. Fixer Upper and spent most of the book confused as to why Gannon was doing all this grovelling because I didn't think he did anything wrong. Other than that it was a fun little romp and the cover is very misleading, lol.

I'll definitely give Lucy Score another try in the future!
