Has anyone else read State of Terror by Hillary Clinton and Louise Penny? I just finished it. I really liked it and thought it was very engrossing. It described events that, though they were highly dramatized, may have had some roots in real experiences That Clinton had when she was Secretary of State. It made me realize how difficult a job that was, particularly for a woman. penny added some references to her detective, Gamache, that were sort of contrived. But I didn’t mind because it was such a page turner.
Warning : do not read this book if you are MaGa as you will definitely be offended by the addition of an ex-presidential character who is clearly a copy of Trump

Yes, I loved the book. It was exciting, educational, and a thriller that I could not put down

Yes. It was the first book I'd read by Penny and probably attributed too much of it to Sec. Clinton.

I also read the James Patterson/Bill Clinton book. I'm sure President Clinton contributed the real life antidotes like his wife did in the Penny book.

I enjoyed their contributions to the novels clearly written primarily by the established authors. Since there haven't been any others, I suspect it was a one-time experiment in both cases.

I read the book and loved it, but then I love Clinton and Penny.

I read it and enjoyed it in 2022. It was quite a thriller, the story never lets up! I did think the Trump-like president was a bit too much.

I couldn't put it down! I pictured the actors from Madam Secretary in some of the parts as I was reading it. It was my first Louise Penny book. It won't be my last.
