O.o WHY?!
I wanted to shove her off a balcony in the Selection and The Elite and in the One, she annoyed me in the beginning, so much that I put the book down and stopped reading for a while, but then I picked it up again after a few months and tried it again and her annoying-ness eventually died down, a bit
XD I actually loved America. I think she had a very tough choice that was believable. I just hated the ending of the One, though.

XD She did!!! I think in the last book, he was like, "Gee, if you're not trying, I'd like to see you actually try" so she put on a slutty dress and when he got her alone he laughed about it, "Well, now I know what you trying looks like." It was hilarious.

I LOVE MAXON!!!!!! hate Aspen and now that i have read your post kinds hate America because all those reason are solid reasons and Aspen totally sucks. First even though they were in love he breaks up with her because he wants better for her than a six?! She was a five you idiot she knows hard times and sexist much if she wants to bring you food to have a romantic meal she can. Then she goes to the selection acting stupid and who shows up?! The groveling Aspen saying even though i made you be in this selection i am going to make put with you like i never broke up with you and get supper mad when you fall in love with the princes whose selection i made you enter. XD Nope. It's a series called The Selection by Kiera Cass. Great series. I actually hadn't read it when I joined my first Selection group (there are a lot on goodreads), but then I did and loved it.

I actually did not find any of the characters particularly favorable. America, because she was so torn all the time between Aspen and Maxon, which is understandable, but Aspen made her feel like crap. Do not stay with someone who hurts you. I dislike Aspen for messing around with America and messing up her chances in the Selection. I dislike Maxon because he should have understood what America was going through with him and Aspen since he had to do it with thirty five girls. The king was a violent bastard who I would have no trouble in beheading. Celeste, while she turned out okayish, was a liar who sabotaged America. Kriss was a liar and used the stupidity of Maxon not listening to America trying to explain herself to get what she wanted, even though Maxon did not truly love her. Maxon I dislike even more for using Kriss like that and not listening to America.
Pst I don't think he was using Kriss I think he'd just lost someone he loved (America) and thought that every moment he'd spent on her was a waste, so he was devoting the rest to Kriss, since she was going to be his wifeAlso, Aspen told America in the beginning of the books that if he could be in th guard they could be together, she said she would be with him no matter what. From aspens point of view, he was ready to provide for America, and assumed that she would be there to marry him, so it's pretty reasonable that he would want to know if they still had a chance, after everything they'd gone through together back in their province. Why would he assume that America had fallen in love with the prince? America didn't even think she had, so why would Aspen just immediately back off because of the selection????

Same Ella!! I hated Aspen at first, but then he and back and hoped that she hadn't fallen in love with Maxon like she promised. And how he was telling her that it was a mistake to send her, he just wanted the best for her <3
Right??? He's always just wanted America to be happy and safe and have everything she could ever want - like he's the biggest softy ever he just cares a lot... He could've convinced America to be with him if he'd wanted to, but he didn't. He let her decide her future. Yeah he was a bit of a hot head but tbh he was probably trying to protect her more than anything >.>
