BevS And me, me ,me!! I hope it's better than the last one, that wasn't quite so funny. ;) However, that gif is, haha. Making me feel sick Inge....

Maya Let's see what shenanigans Henry is up to now :D

Sofia

grabby hands :)

Ingie LoL! I must add that I love both macaroni & cheese as well as cheese puffs.

I liked the second book even if it wasn't as funny as the first one Bev. Henry's sister was adorable.

Ahhh Maya, Henry is a cutie.

Please Sofia!!! I'm on a diet.... :)))

BevS Oh I loved Viola Inge, she was a really good character. It just wasn't as good IMHO.

BevS 4%...just snorted tea through my nose at Henry's version of Old MacDonald had a farm, hehe.

Ingie @7% to start chapter 2. - Such a cuties they are.

“Sorry,” Henry said to the ground.
“It’s all right. We’re gonna handle this. Mac ‘n’ Cheese, remember?”
Henry looked up in wonder. “Mac, did you . . . Did you like my idea for our TV show after all?”
Mac groaned. “No.”
“Do you wanna hear the theme song again?”
“Absolutely not.” Mac gave Henry a quick kiss on the forehead.’

Ingie Bev wrote: "4%...just snorted tea through my nose at Henry's version of Old MacDonald had a farm, hehe."

Haha! - This will be fun Bev. I wonder how Mac will explain to his parents. Do they know he is gay?

message 10: by BevS (new) - rated it 4 stars

BevS I can't remember whether they do or not...or if he has any siblings??? I do like the rapport between Mac and Cheese hehe, but I feel so sorry for Henry because it seems like he's hardly had a life at all. Always looking after Vi, even before the accident cos his mum was useless. Such a shame. :(

message 11: by Maya (new) - rated it 3 stars

Maya Mac has a sister, but I don't think it was mentioned in the first two books if his family knew he's gay.

I'm starting now.

message 12: by BevS (new) - rated it 4 stars

BevS Yep, just met his niece at the family goat farm. Henry is still being an ass.

message 13: by BevS (new) - rated it 4 stars

BevS Up to chapter 4 now. Will call that it for tonight. Catch you tomorrow Ladies. x

Sofia 12% good to be back. Feel for Henry, he is so tense. The photograph thing breaks my heart.

Falling asleep, more tomorrow. Goodnight girls :)

Ingie @23% in chapter 4.

This feels like a perfect read after our historical. I needed something lighter and funnier.

Tired...

Me too Sofia, but I've no doubt there are more sad things to come...Mac has just set up a meet with Remy.

Ingie @41%. There for sure are Bev. But this is also so "easy" to read and I like to be in Mac's (black & white but maybe more and more pink) world. He is a hero-favorite. ((Hugs)) to Mac dear.

There was a good scene just now and I feel to cry for Henry and his horrible childhood. Just good to know Viola doesn't remember the bad stuff about their Mom etc.

message 18: by BevS (new) - rated it 4 stars

BevS Ladies.

Lily has sent me a sci-fi story to proofread, it seems to be huge and it's got to be done before next Tuesday, which is funny cos that's when I go on holiday...grrr!!

I'm not even sure I'll be able to do the Conscious Decisions of the Heart (More Heat Than the Sun, #2) by John Wiltshire buddy read on Thursday Inge. I'd like to get this one done otherwise I feel I'm letting her down, so I'm going to have to bow out of this read (I'll finish it when I can) and probably the one on Thursday, I've got a holiday to sort out AND Mother's Day weekend this coming weekend which James is coming home from Uni for....can we re-schedule the John Wiltshire read for after when I get back on the 26th?? If you're too busy, that's fine I'll read it on my own....

Sorry Ladies, but I wasn't expecting the proof yet....

Sofia sorry Bev - happy proofing.

31% seeing Henry without the snark - full of pain. His thoughts about Mac, his mum, Viola aagrh. I think the farmhouse has a connection.

Will read more during my break later :)

Thanks Sofia, just in break from chapter 2 of the proof. I agree about the farmhouse, it seemed very familiar to him didn't it??

Have a great read, I'll get fed up of looking at the desktop screen eventually (and my neck will start to complain), so I'll catch up with Tempest (Playing the Fool, #3) by Lisa Henry later.

Ingie Bev! It's okay. If feel a big urge to read it I read it, or maybe I wait for you until later. We talk about it when your are back again, okay.

Good luck with your sci-fi book. :)))

Touching, right?!

message 23: by Maya (new) - rated it 3 stars

Maya I'm at 20%, girls.
The conversation Mac and Henry had at the end of chapter 3 makes me love Mac even more: "Well, how do you know you don’t have help, if you never ask?”.

Sofia 44% seriously these guys - i think we are going to go into crescendo with this one. These scenes between Mac and Henry are becoming more and more....

Maya Sofia wrote: "44% seriously these guys - i think we are going to go into crescendo with this one. These scenes between Mac and Henry are becoming more and more...."

yes, we'll see where it gets them. I'm at 39% - Henry finally starting to open up and be honest with Mac.

Sofia I just finished reading that Maya and Henry's mindset before that was all over the place.

message 27: by Maya (new) - rated it 3 stars

Maya He went through similar thought after the first night they spent in Mac's apartment in book 2.

Interesting choice by the authors - to make this a fast paces read but at the same time to have Henry heal that quickly. I'm not sure if it will work but let's see.

message 28: by Ingie (last edited Mar 10, 2015 09:18AM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Ingie Oh, I see you are reading again. I better continue my reading again too.

Ingie
description

“Can we stop for donuts, Mac?”
“Says the guy who just put away two omelets for breakfast.”
“Which is my protein requirement for the day. Now I need my sugar and frosting requirement for the day. Oh, and my milkshake requirement. Strawberry.”
He jiggled his leg. “Definitely strawberry.”

Drooling! - @49%

I'd me content which just a start - that kind of baggage is not cured instantly.

Sofia Ingela this book is not good for you :D

Ingie Sofia wrote: "Ingela this book is not good for you :D"

True! These guys loves to mention food and snacks. Sigh!
But I love them... and I adore Viola.

message 33: by Maya (new) - rated it 3 stars

Maya Sofia wrote: "I'd me content which just a start - that kind of baggage is not cured instantly."

well, he is trying when he's not self-sabotaging. what I was trying to say is that if by the end of the book he is fully committed to that new relationship I don't know if that would be realistic because of the short time they've spent together - a few weeks.

Ingela - love the gif :D

Sofia hopefully - they make it work Maya -

Ingie True Maya.

It's quite impressive that it's only has been three weeks for all those adventures. It feels like much longer.

Ingie Sofia wrote: "hopefully - they make it work Maya -"

They must. :/

Ingie How far are you girls?

message 38: by Maya (new) - rated it 3 stars

Maya at 60%, Ingela.
(view spoiler)
I'm worried now - how are our guys going to get out of this mess I have no clue.

Sofia 48% Henry

Ingela you are worrying me.

message 40: by Ingie (last edited Mar 10, 2015 02:32PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Ingie # Maya: **nodding** Maybe you need to be worried.

# Sofia: A perfect Henry bunny gif.
What did I say or do?

At 76% and I'm a bit scared.
Will this one really be the last book?

It's bedtime and maybe I read a few more page there.

Ingie @78% LoL! These girls are my idols from now on...

(view spoiler)

message 42: by Maya (new) - rated it 3 stars

Maya at 85% - finally the storm is over and I can go to sleep :)

these girls are crazy brave, Ingela.

Ingie Yeah, the best!

I just finished. Night, see you both tomorrow.

Sofia Crazy, good. Reading the last bit :)

Ingie LoL! I fly through the book, to remind myself, and there are so many funny quotes.
“You want some of this ass, Mac?”
“I want all of that ass. And the smart-mouthed sidekick it’s attached to.”
“I am the best sidekick ever.” Henry went up on his toes, eyes falling shut briefly. “My action figure would sell more than yours.”

description

These two are just freaking adorable sweet together. Three books, and there are lacks etc, but I LOVE this series. I just hope it will be more in the future.

The last line was after all: ‘THE END - FOR NOW’

Sofia Finished. I only got one word to say:

This was a great read girls :D

message 47: by Maya (new) - rated it 3 stars

Maya I finished it last night too. I enjoyed it but didn't love it. And I think it's because I really like Mac, but Henry - not so much. I can't deny their connection is amazing though :)

Also, something about that scene in the old house felt weird for me with the kid being involved.

Anyway, I'm glad to see Mac and Henry in a good place in the end :)

Sofia As I like Henry too and I love them together, this worked for me. Left me with a smile on my face. Happy at where they are and I wouldn't say no to more. (view spoiler)

message 49: by Maya (new) - rated it 3 stars

Maya haha, yes, (view spoiler)

Ingie I just finished my review and it will be 4.3 stars this time. It worked for me as well. This series has been a winner (ARC) choice for me. It's so good with more funny (comedy) romances sometimes.

I liked that this wasn't a sex-feast as well. It's enough with just dirty talking and sweet kisses also. - A bit surprising when thinking about these writers too.

I cross my fingers for a forth book, and a (crazy) film set adventure. LoL!

THANKS for joining Ladies!!
