That seems like a path ripe for abuse. I haven't logged into Comixology since Amazon bought them.

I'm with you. I'd always rather own it myself and keep a copy. Anything else is just "renting", despite what they call it.

It'd be interesting if a blockchain system is feasible that when someone buys a digital media content, actually "buys a license".

ComiXology was heartbreaking! It’s nice to see the industry trying to get out from under that.
Despite Amazon’s disaster, I still like digital and subscription services - I have not the shelving for all the comics I wish to read or the games I wish to play.
I may try a digital subscription for manga eventually. I haven't spent the time checking out my options there but it would probably save me a fair amount of money as fast as I can read some of that content. There is a fair amount free online and I've read some on my phone.

Comixology has fallen apart. Lots of people seem to have Marvel Unlimited and DCs digital service. Is there a place for all the independents? Seems like there could be.
In this day and age do people prefer the subscription method or would you rather buy your own digital copy that hopefully is secure and always there on a third party site?
