Miss Percey's Pocket Guide to the Care and Feeding of British Dragons by Quenby Olson - 4 stars

Miss Mildred Percy is a regency era 40 year old spinster residing as a poor relation, unpaid governess/nurse in her younger sister's home. She's settled in her life, even resigned, having long ago lost the urge for adventure or hopes for marriage that she embraced before filial obligations to her father then being beholden to her sister smothered them. Miss Percy has become dithering, timid, unable to stand up for herself. Then a trunk arrives from a distant relative she has not seen or communicated with since childhood. It's filled with a miscellany of books, notebooks, rocks, and one specatularly large unusual rock wrapped in a silk scarf. Only, it's not a rock but an egg, a dragon egg that soon hatches. Oh my. What follows is an entertaining adventure with a touch of romance, a great deal of fantasy, a lot of wry humor, and Miss Percy breaking out of the shell that has trapped her.

I really enjoyed this and will absolutely be following Miss Percy on her adventures with a dragon, Mr. Wiggan the local vicar, and his housekeeper Mrs. Babbiton.

I think you will love it! I read it 9n Kindle Unlimited and the sequel is there too.
