I read this book in the mid-90’s, so I’m thinking it was probably published sometime between 1985 and 1995. It is about a boy named Robbie who lives on a farm. He rescues a wolf pup from a den and raises him. He has a trapline that he runs to sell furs to get money. He uses the money to “buy” his time from his father so he doesn’t have to work on the farm some days. He is also friends with a professor who also does taxidermy.
