Going through 25 pages Outlander was the only one I read. I had nothing in the want to read, but I did find Addie LaRue had both paranormal and romance as did Golden Girl. I've been wanting to read both of those.

The Ilona Andrews series we all were rhapsodizing over last year during the author challenge are on the list we were linked to for paranormal romance. I truly rarely read paranormal romances or mysteries, just not that interested in paranormal, but those were wonderful. You shoud give the first in series a try - Burn for Me is the first of the series I read and loved. Magic Bites is the series I plan to start if it wins.

Also, I certainly read a couple Alice Hoffman books last year that I think also fit paranormal romance.

Meli (melihooker) | 4165 comments @Booknblues The Addie LaRue book is a strong sell I think for people struggling to find something for the paranormal romance tag. I've heard nothing but good things.

I read Outlander and that was more than enough for me, but it's certainly been popular!

Addie is classic retelling of Dr. Faustus and of the Persephone myth, among others, is far more literary than romance and it never even occured to me to tag it either paranormal or paranormal romance.

Those who read HF or Literary Fiction would be comfortable with it should Paranormal Romance win. I suspect there are quite a few options of that nature.

Joy D | 10092 comments I enjoyed it and I don't normally read paranormal or romance

Amy | 12929 comments I spent some considerable time this morning looking at books on my TBR that our friendship. Because I think that there are a lot of strong friendship books that I have, but they didn’t necessarily turn up on that list. We will see if I get to use what I found. I’d rather think had to put that energy and time in earlier I might’ve thrown more points at it.

I've put lists together for all of them. There is one and I won't say which that I am most excited to read so of course that is the one I am hoping for.

NancyJ (nancyjjj) | 11072 comments I didn’t see any Alice Hoffman books on the paranormal-romance list. Many of her books have fantasy tags though. I’d love a fantasy tag sometime soon.

I saw a few series on the friendship list that were also best sellers, and they have paranormal or romance tags, but not the paranormal-romance tag.

Robin P | 5753 comments My guess is that friendship will win, which will be a pretty easy one. For bestsellers, mostly I've either read them or know I don't want to.

Anita, would it be possible to reveal the winner on the 21st? (Or maybe you always reveal the winner on the day of the deadline, I forget.) I’d like to review options before my book club meeting, for our bonus book. Thanks.

Of course the ultimate decision will be up to the admins, but I hardly think it fair to change the timing given how many time zones affect nembers, how many of us belong to book clubs where knowing the tag could influence a choice (certainly I coukd have used the 8nfo yesterday for my own bookclub), how some members check less often than others, and some may not have voted yet. In fact didn't someone miss out on voting during WPF because the voting closedan hour or less before it was scheduled to close?

In the past there has been ample notice those very rare times the vote was going to be closed early and results posted early for any reason.

The deadline is at noon tomorrow which is why I asked.

Joanne (joabroda1) | 12573 comments We would all like to review options for our book clubs, Nancy, and have all our books fall into either them or challenges-LoL, just isn't going to happen, at least it never has in my world.

message 65: by Anita (new)

Anita Pomerantz | 9281 comments I would say I reveal the tag selection on the day the voting is completed at least 90% of the time. It will definitely be announced today. I know everyone is curious so I try to be timely, but sometimes it just can't happen because you know . . .real life.

message 66: by Amy (new)

Amy | 12929 comments So just to get clear on this - it used to be that the vote was announced on the 23rd... Then the decision was made that it would be a day earlier, the 22nd, to give people more planning time. Now the date is moving to the 21st? Because that is when the vote closes? I have never seen the 21st. But that is the new plan?

message 67: by Anita (new)

Anita Pomerantz | 9281 comments There is a deadline posted in the initial post soliciting everyone to vote. The deadline itself is generally a week, give or take a day or two, and depending on my schedule, holidays, month length, etc.

I try to announce within 24 hours of the voting being closed.

Thanks Anita. That’s what I observed too. I hope you know that I’m not asking you to rush, I was just explaining why I asked. The women in the group love to hear about the tags, and they sometimes make great suggestions. I apologize for triggering drama.
