I'm still recovering from yesterday with the littles. And also from that intense Final Four game - Go Aztecs! I'm hoping my brain is more functional tomorrow so I can get my selection made and update the tracking. 🤞🏼

Review: I didn’t like the main characters, John and Robin, for at least half of the book, but I ended up loving them both and their amazing chemistry. It’s an enemy-to lovers romance between two men who were so incredibly different it was hard to even picture them together. The secondary characters were all likeable especially Alice, Edwina and Marianne. I liked how they their HEA worked around the constraints of high society. I also like the way things ended for Marianne, and how Robin stood up for John.

It took me quite a while to get invested in this story and these characters, but I did enjoy it overall. Didn't like the overly dramatic bit towards the end, but I rarely do especially (view spoiler). Not 100% on the narrator, Jenny Sterlin. Not bad, but not great either. There were parts where I thought my lack of involvement might be the narration, but I was never sure.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Just a reminder, you have until tomorrow to change your book if you desire - otherwise you are stuck with it. That is one reason I strongly suggest you at a minimum begin your book during the week the theme is called!
I'm going to have to check out your shelves for Option 2 for this one - I just finished the only book in a trilogy I had on my short list. 🤦🏻♀️ And the only book I have that is #3 in a series is behind another book that I would need to read first.

Okay, so this was not my normal type book. I actually started it earlier this week but had to keep putting it down to go read this some other things and came back. I felt it was a little slow for me to get into. I liked learning about this time period and I do like historical British romance but this one just wasn't for me. The characters were a little whiney sometimes and I just needed something faster.

Review: I didn’t like Nate very much at the beginning. Then I think he kind of grows on you, and his increasing affection for Ian redeemed him. I would’ve liked more information about Nate’s magic. I adored Ian, I loved finding out he’d had feelings for Nate all along. I would’ve loved his POV instead of being in Nate’s head all the time. There was a lot more action than I expected as well as unexpected surprises.

Review: This is a great look into pretty much an entire lifetime for these two. It's a little heavy on the sex for my personal taste, especially in a book so long but I did love both Wolf and Marc from pretty much the first page.

Review: After reading the rest of the series, this one always plucks at the heart strings as you know exactly what Robbie has been through and how much he's lost. As with the other books in the series, I both laughed and cried a lot. This is just hands down one of the best series.

I really enjoyed this story - it was light and fun! I had to re-listen a lot, but that was real life and not the story. Looking forward to more in the series!
Excellent narration by Greg Boudreaux.

I loved this it was sweet and over the top and the way ajax loves his boy is swoon worthy so all in all a fabulous book that will make you smile and swoon
And now we are completely current - Great work team!!Just waiting on Week 3 to be called. 😊
Reminder from Jane:
Don't forget to add books to those lists that are compulsory for option 1 if that theme is called.
Refer msg 3 for greater detail if you haven't played this game before :)
Books can be added to the lists anytime up until I call a theme where lists have been used for Option 1. Once the theme is called, books cannot be added until that week is closed.
I am terrible at doing this, but if you have books you know fit and want to add them, please do. It just has to be done BEFORE Jane calls the theme.

Review: As always Maz delivers on a fun dinosaur romp filled with laughs, action, and amazing characters. Yu has always been somewhat of a mystery so it was great hearing more about him, and Lance was one of those characters I instantly loved (probably because I related to the bumbling awkwardness of him). I really enjoyed how this time around we got to see a different culture and different dinosaurs; Maz makes sure that this series is never repetitive in its tales. I will say this was probably my least favorite in the series. Not that it wasn't great, because it absolutely was, the main story line and connection between the MCS just somehow felt to get a little lost within introducing new characters and plot lines. Still, the epilogue left me SO FREAKING EXCITED for the next book. Bring on Montana's story!

Review: Cute romance between a go-go dancer college student and a widowed doctor with a small daughter. It was ok. I felt like descriptions were missing so we’re only getting glimpses of things, like about their jobs or families. Not too angsty, very sweet overall. I liked the dual POVs.

I went with that one because it is really short and I need that this week! And it is closer to the cutoff date for Option 2 than the others I found. 😉

I hope you like it.

I think I like Lauren Blakely's work alone better, but it was ok. Just not a lot of substance - not that I expected different with it being so short. 🤷🏻♀️

Nice enough story, but it short so not a lot of substance. We get to meet the guys, they are attracted to each other but not friendly. Then they get friendly, really friendly. And then plan to live happily ever after. The narration by Tim Paige and J.F. Harding was enjoyable.

We had to sleep in Toronto due to missed connectors but we are finally home. Ireland was so much fun! I loved Blarney Castle and Cliffs of Moher. We also did four days in Dublin which was super fun. I'll get this book read tonight/tomorrow and update tomorrow when I get home from work.
I'm glad you had a great trip! I'm only a little bit jealous - Ireland is one of my bucket list places to visit...
It was so fun! We did the trip from Shannon to Dublin through the southern part and definitely worth a bucket trip. I think seeing all the history was really cool and loved all the food/drinks.

Review:
I haven't read any of this series before and I will need to read some more. I love a friends to couple book and this one was pretty good but I gave it three because some parts could've been better. I do wish that I could eat some of the things that Josie bakes and Chase was a fun character to follow also.
