Brienne Dougray's life changed dramatically 6 months ago. A random attack left her hospitalized with a concussion and other injuries leaving her with debilitating migraines and partial memory loss. Most of all Brienne has difficulty living with the fear that has taken over her life. One solution was to have a roommate occupy part of the large mansion left to her by her late grandparents. When a pleasant young doctor answers her ad Brienne feels that he is the right fit and Dr. Niall Emberlin moves into her home and life. He is kind and gentle, always thoughtful, never stepping over the line. Brienne begins to relax...until she receives a monogrammed key to an apartment. When she inquires about the mistake at the apartment building she is informed that she, Brienne, is the one who rented it. Suddenly Brienne is confronted by the fact that someone is pretending to be her. There is another Brienne Dougray. Searching the imposter's social media accounts, Brienne sees a woman who looks very much like her, one who wears the same clothing and jewelry, drives the same car and likes the same obscure cocktail. Just what is going on here? Brienne is determined to confront this woman and when she finally does her world is torn apart.

This is an intricate plot that at the outset seems very strange but by the end of the book is quite well done. Naturally Brienne is depicted as distraught and doubting her own mental faculties but she is stronger than she thought possible. I enjoyed it.
