Now starting CRIMSON LAKE by Candice Fox, the first novel in the Ted Conkaffey & Amanda Pharrell mystery/thriller series set in northern Australia. All three books in the series were nominated for the Ned Kelly Award as the Best Crime Novel of the Year, but the author has not written a new Conkaffey/Pharrell book since 2019.
Now starting THE SMALL BOAT OF GREAT SORROWS by Dan Fesperman, his second novel featuring former Bosnian detective Vlado Petric.I read the first book in the series earlier this year and really enjoyed it. But there doesn't appear to be any more Petric books in the future, as Fesperman has moved on to writing mostly stand alone thriller novels.
