Hɪsᴛᴏʀʏ﹕ Hanzo was born to a young Malaysian-Japanese woman named Ayano in Osaka, Japan. After falling from her family's good graces as a result of having her son out of wedlock, Ayano and Hanzo moved to Australia (Ayano knew some English) to start a new life when Hanzo was four. He adjusted well in school and made a couple friends, and all was normal for a bit. But then, when Hanzo was six years old, he decided he wanted to take dance lessons. Ayano at first refused, afraid of her son getting teased or bullied, but at Hanzo's insistence she relented and signed him up at the local studio. Hanzo's dancing talents quickly became very apparent, mastering routines that kids twice his age had trouble learning. With the support of one of his dance teachers, Hanzo auditioned for The Australian Ballet School. His abilities amazed the school so much that they gave him early admission so he could begin training there right away. By the time he was fourteen Hanzo was already considered one of the best dancers at the school, and his future in the dance industry was promising. But everything changed when Ayano married a stingy businessman named Harold Busby. Harold, not wanting to spend money on what he deemed "a useless passion" pulled Hanzo out of the school and forced him to return home. There, he emotionally abused Hanzo, and it grew so bad that Hanzo considered killing himself. Ayano, realizing the mistake she had made in marrying Harold, remembered a place in the US called Camp Half-Blood that Hanzo's father--the god Apollo--had told her about before he'd left her. Ayano wanted the best for her troubled son, so she sent him there to live, away from Harold, where he has lived for the past one and a half years.
ƤєяѕσηαƖιту: Hanzo is very prickly. He's easily irritated and often says insensitive things to others so they'll leave him alone. Even with his fowl temper, Hanzo cares deeply for his mother and the close friends he makes at CHB, and is very protective of them.

Hιѕтσяу: Ferra Pérola and her twin sister Ferra Barboletta (Iron Pearl and Iron Butterfly in Portuguese) were born to Hecate and successful, well-known fortune-teller Paolo Rimo in a southern Brazilian town after Hecate and Paolo had met less than 10 months before. When Pérola and Barboletta were one year old Barboletta was kidnapped and murdered by a local street thug. Hecate, furious at what the man had done, cursed him to die at the hands of his mother and later have his corpse eaten by stray dogs (she never told Paolo this). When Pérola's brother Thiago was born a year later, Hecate forced Paolo to move their family to the US, in Pennsylvania, because she was "growing tired of Brazil and its crime." Paolo had to abandon his fortune telling business, learn English in less than 6 months, earn American citizenship, and find a decent job. Hecate lived with him, Pérola, and Thiago in Pennsylvania for 6 more years, but after Paolo landed a job in a housing agency, she told him she wasn't needed anymore and abruptly left, heading back to her godly dwellings. She never told Paolo or her children who she really was. Paolo was so upset that he abandoned his new job and went to bars to drink away his sorrows. Pérola watched him slowly deteriorate over the years until he finally died from alcohol poisoning when she was 16. She and Thiago left Pennsylvania, heading to New York where they'd heard some relatives lived. They encountered many supernatural creatures along the way that wanted to kill them, but using their wits they managed to get away. When they reached NY they were nearly killed by a rampaging minotaur, but they were saved by a mysterious man in a wheelchair. He took them to Camp Half-Blood, where they were nursed back to health and revealed to be demi-gods. After being claimed by Hecate 7 months later, Pérola and Thiago decided to remain in CHB for good, seeing that there was nowhere else for them to go.

After having had many close calls with monsters, Jerome took Nausicaa to Camp Half Blood, which lay just outside NYC, so that she'd be safe. She currently resides there during the summertime and all of her school breaks.
