As written in Topic, in the book, a little girl is in the rural part of England Or the UK, I don't remember), and she meets the ghost of a young boy in the pool. When she goes back to London she meets the ghost again, but now the ghost is of a young man. He says that because he was not a child when he went to London, he can only appear as a grown-up while there.
