The king throughout the whole series was not agreat character in many ways, (spoilers) only then when he died he saw the errors in his ways. The queen on the other hand was a character that I enjoyed but we didn't get to see a lot of.
I just finished reading the series, and there's one thing about Maxon I still don't understand. With the amount of importance he placed on the Selection, how was he able to send eight girls home after just one conversation? What was his criteria for doing that?
Hm, that is a good point. Lets think about the pressure he was in and their relationship (Maxon and America). Their relationship started out as more or less friendly and grew to something more, where the other girls just wanted romance. I think a relationship feels better when you start out as friends because then you know each other more and that's how you grow to love someone (for me at least). So it makes sense he would have to send girls away, maybe he just didn't spend enough time to get to know them or they didn't interest him.
I love Maxon! He's sooo awesome and kind! Aspen... God I hated that guy! He was always just THERE trying to ruin America and Maxon! The king I hated cuz he was a d*ck to America. I liked queen amberly.
I Love Maxon. He was so sweet especially in the beginning when she yelled at him he didn't even mind. Aspen on the other hand...So stupid. He doesn't understand anything!! when Maxon sees them together it just broke my heart.
