[Answered] Series with 1 book - is this valid?

An author requested a series be created but there is only one book in the series at present. Is this acceptable or should I instruct them to re-post the request once 2+ books are available?

I don't think there is a specific policy against it, but it is hard to confirm that the "series" meets Goodreads policy for being declared a series if there is only one book.

I would think per GR definition of a series we really need a 2nd book (even if it's not a primary entry in the series).
