I loved Cal's perspective and the narrator it was perfect. And Mare and Cal have finally given into their feelings. TOOK LONG ENOUGH YOU GUYS. I wish Cal could get through his thick skull that he doesn't need to be king to make changes. Ugh. The battle for Harbor Bay was crazy, but I'm really glad Cal and Kilorn survived. I was hoping to see some more lightning girl but oh well. (hide spoiler)]

I was cheering at so many different parts during that surrender meeting. Like damn Farley, Mare and Evangeline aren't taking shit from Maven and co. But since maven was captured there's now Piedmont and the Lakelands to worry about. I hope Cal will surrender his crown--he's so close to doing it. I don't get why he's so caught up with it. He can barely make decisions about his country and he doesn't want Julian or Annabel to do it. SO WHOS GOING TO DO IT CAL COME ON! It's weird that Jon hasn't had a bigger role, I wonder if he really is done now. (hide spoiler)]

Not everything was wrapped up with the Lakelands and Piedmont, but Norta has firmly become Scarlet Guard and the monarchy is gone. I hope that the other countries will follow soon. I think it's good that Mare and Cal are going to take time to heal separately. I am sure they'll end up together because they clearly can't avoid each other. But Evangeline got the ending she deserved so I was happy with that! (hide spoiler)]
