PattyMacDotComma | 1260 comments Michael Robotham wrote When You Are Mine as a standalone, I believe, about young Philomena McCarthy, who loves her London police career, but she also loves her gangster father and uncles. What's a girl to do? She's a great character, and I'm delighted to say book #2 is out now, too!
When You Are Mine (Philomena McCarthy, #1) by Michael Robotham My review of When You Are Mine

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Legal / Crime Thriller
2nd book in the Vegas Shadows series
Well-crafterd plot, great characterization, suspenseful

I didn't like the ending. The case is solved, but there's a major situation that is left up in the air. Otherwise, this would have been a 5-star read for me.

Carolyn | 1629 comments The Cut Throat Trial by S.J. Fleet The Cut Throat Trial by S.J. Fleet is the debut fiction legal thriller of a barrister and blogger known as The Secret Barrister., who also writes non fiction books about trials in the English & Welsh court system. It's no surprise then that this feels like you are in a courtroom watching a real trial while privy to the thoughts of the defendants, barristers, KCs and Judge.
