especially as the General folder has so many pinned threads that no one sees the new ones easily.and a loud yes! to the rest of Elizabeths posting.
Absolutely! This is a huge frustration, causing wasted time and effort.
Some of the announcements can probably be unpinned.

I meant as a side note :-) I misread other posts as I went through them too quickly!

Some of those pinned threads are librarian tools. Not sure they go in the "general" non-folder. They should have a permanent, prominent place. Or just be removed as they have been incorporated into the manual.
+1 for the above. I would love to see a separate folder (or non-folder) for librarian-specific threads (tips and tools and announcements and policy questions). It's hard to find this information amongst the oh-so-many user requests and questions in each folder.

Also, it would be helpful if there were a specific Announcement folder rather than using the General folder.
