My mom is up to volume 4 and just texted me asking how she (my mom) could be falling in love with three gentlemen at once? We haven't just delighted in a fictional hero (or three) this much together since the Jonny Lee Miller Emma came out on PBS when I was first married and we were calling each other after each installment, gushing over how perfect a Mr Knightley he was. I'm so enjoying sharing this series with my mom and my daughters.

i totally fell in love with all of them too! but i have one favourite, although since this is vol4 i will remain silent. these books are so amazing! i almost wish the fandom was bigger but i’m also glad it’s smaller like this so we can keep it to ourselves!

Re-reading Volume 4, there's a special glow to the October 11 entry--the first time gathering of Lion, Pierce, Islington, and Hawkes. Knowing how that friendship group gains steam, the dinner feels like such a pivotal point! I love it.

And at some in-between moment, a key fit a lock, a door opened.
