What James Clavell book to start with?

Hiya,
I’ve recent come across ‘Noble House’ by James Clavell. Looks very intriguing and the comments are largely very positive. However, I wonder whether I would have to read another ‘Asian Saga’ book first?

I've read all of them except Whirlwind. Chronological order is Shogun, Taipan, Gaijin, King Rat, Noble House, and Whirlwind. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
You can read in any order, but there are some long-distance plot links between Noble House and Tai-Pan/Gai-Jin so might be worth reading those first. Tai-Pan is excellent, Gai-Jin (which was written towards the end of Clavell’s career) not so much. But Noble House is fantastic…
