(answered and corrected) ISBNs and ASINs on same record, when ebook and kindle are available for purchase. that is set up wrong, correct?

You're correct—it should be two editions. You'll have to contact Support to separate them, as librarians no longer have the ability to edit ISBNS or ASINs.

yes, have to be corrected by staff.
Had yesterday even a PB that got the wrong ASIN imported. ASIN was for Kindle and it had a completely different one on Amazon for the PB. annoying.
(that way round they do it, removing duplicates by adding the imported asin to a PB record they don't seem do)

There are existing records with ISBN which got added a new record by a bot with only the "ASIN" (ISBN10 repeated) of the PB on a pretty empty record. (they do even have a librarian note about it belonging to ISBN 1234567 from the bot) - I tried to get that "ASIN" moved onto the PB because that was a way more complete record and it does not make sense to me to keep plain duplicates.
But staff only did it once and told me the other times "this asin exists look here on Amazon". which I never doubted.
I do find these duplicates super annoying as they are always without cover and further info and just make the book list longer on the combine page.

If I come across such a duplicate I use the form to contact staff to merge these books.
I made a template for it to copy/paste so I don't have to do the explanation every time.

thanks for the template I tried several times and got only one of them fixed on the rest they only told me it's fine as it is so I try to ignore them (although I'm annoyed by the clutter).
might try again with the template at some point.

I think the response you get from staff varies by which staff person responds and the amount of experience/knowledge they have.

But I have chosen to ignore these awful worthless imports.

I find this comment by Rivka on the topic of Kindle editions with an ISBN interesting. Not the case here, as this is also sold somewhere else, but I didn't know about it.
