Hi, Randy ... I'm halfway through this very odd book. Is anyone else reading it?

I'm considering reading it at the end of the month if I still have time; although unfortunately this month I have an exceptionally big tbr, so the odds are rather slim. Also, I am a bit put off by the length of this book and its low ratings. What's actually wrong with it?
