The protagonist is a boy living in a virtual reality room where he does physical training and hones his fine motor skills (there's a scene where he's trying to whack virtual bees as they fly by). He teams up with two other children, a girl programmer and a boy strategist, as they compete against other children in a "war" where he has to move pieces around a miniature battlefield by hovering his hand just above without touching them.
