Any out-of-print books you wish would be re-issued? Feel free to tell us how you came upon this book(s) and why you feel it should be re-issued.

Yesterday I was just admiring my copy of Dean Paschal's wonderful collection By the Light of the Jukebox. My review.

My first Paschal story was "Moriya" in an anthology; it also appeared in Best American Short Stories 2003. But it's actually a bit of a departure. In any case, there are some reasonably priced copies online. What are y'all waiting for?

[Update: just realized this is available on Kindle! So what's your excuse?]

Someone should also reissue Joel Lane's collection The Terrible Changes. Now that came out originally as a limited edition on a very small press, and is impossible to find these days. I've read just about everything else by Lane, so this omission has been gnawing away at me for years.

I can think of a few. There are some Booker shortlisted books from the early 70s that go for silly prices - The Green Equinox by Elizabeth Mavor and The Conjunction by Terence Wheeler are two of them. I'd also like to read Pollard by Laura Beatty (Lost Property, which I did read) had links to that, and the first two novels by JG Farrell...

and after that a lot of children's books, including:

The Spaceship Under the Apple Tree by Louis Slobodkin

Dream of the Blue Heron by Victor Barnouw

Run With the Ring by K. Vinson

Witch Dog by John Beatty

The Cat and Mrs. Cary by Doris Gates

plus all of the soon-to-be-rare, not-yet-bowdlerized versions of Roald Dahl's children's books!
