Are there books by other authors that hit this same sweet spot of good literature, not for kids, based on Greek mythology? Asking for a friend (honestly) but also curious for myself. TIA

I recently finished "Ariadne" by Jennifer Saint and really liked it and I believe she has other books based on Greek mythology. Authors Pat Barker and Stephen Fry were recommended to me recently and I plan to check them out. "Circe" remains my favorite in the category!

Have you read David Gemmell's Troy series? I really enjoyed those.

Finished song of achilies some time ago. IS circe also as good

Ariadne by Jennifer Saint
Elektra by Jennifer Saint
Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker
A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes

also Galatea by Madeline Miller!

Pandora's Jar - Natalie Haynes :)Pandora's Jar: Women in the Greek Myths

Lost in the Labyrinth. Idk who it's by because I'm not home right now. I found it in a box of free books in my library.

It tells te story of the minotaur from the perspective of one of Ariadne's sisters.

I haven't read them yet, but I've been told that Atlanta, Stone blind, Ariadne and Elektra were a good choice to read after The song of Achilles

I loved Circe but didn't like Ariadne that much.
I just finished Clytemnestra by Costanza Casati, and it was up there with Circe for me, really enjoyed it.

I just read Psyche and Eros by Luna McNamara and really enjoyed it a lot.

Hi, I really enjoyed Pat Barker's book :) I found Circe also really good, but I prefered The Song of Achilles. Circe is more about liberty, making our own choices, and live as free as a woman can, especially when the world fear her for her strenght.
(sorry if there are some mistakes, I'm French :))
