My lower rating was more a 'me not you' problem. I don't read many fairy or fantasy world stories so am not familiar with the inhabitants. So I was lost for the first quarter of the book. Kind of impacted my enjoyment of the story. But it was funny and the MCs were believable.

Loved this series starter so much that I binged the entire series over the course of one week. It was a lot of fun! Still have the other two books selected for me to go...
I haven't read my March picks yet, but they are on my list of to read very soon.
I finished both of mine this month!!! I liked
much better than
. Gave the first 4 stars and the second a reluctant 3. Hourglass was just too much like other YA novels I've read that had more complex characters beyond their unusual abilities. Glad to have it off of my TBR.

I had a hard time getting into the fantasy world portrayed in this book. It all felt contrived and dialog was stilted.
Unfortunately, I did not get my bonus book from the library soon enough to finish this month. I will add it to next month's stack.
