I am looking for the title of a short science fiction story .
Benevolent aliens travel through space, helping the inhabitants of different planets to realize their full potential. At the end of the story it's revealed that these aliens are the only life forms in the universe that have souls. This is why they assist different species to live their lives to the fullest: because there isn't anything after death, except for the benevolent aliens, who have souls. Does anyone know the title and author of this story?
