OG file as source for covers

I am working on a request in the "Adding New Books & Editions" folder, the user who posted it uploaded an image to his profile - and he claims it is a screen capture of the original files that were later printed as a hardback book (screen capture provided to him by the author of the book). Would it be ok to use that image as cover?
