I read this kids/young adult book in the late 90s. A little girl won't speak after a tragic accident, and her family worry about her. She may live with grandparents, but im not sure. Someone close to her died, possibly in a car accident. In the end some snowdrops bloom and she can speak again. Snowdrops are significant in the book.

I believe the cover of the book may have a cartoonish drawing of a little girl with curly blonde hair and a pot of flowers. Or maybe it has the little girl staring out a window. I cant remember clearly, but what ive written is is everything I can remember.
