SOLVED. YA Fantasy. Barely remember anything but anyway. Main character was female. I feel like there was a dark king/ god involved. [s]

Ok, I literally remember almost nothing about this book, but here we go. The main character was definitely female, and I think she might've been able to turn things into gold (not sure tho, but she most likely had some kind of power). The only scene I remember is her being in a carriage, on her way to see some dark king/god who possibly had something to do with death. I will post with more details if I remember them. Thank you!!

This is almost certainly “Gilded” by Marissa Meyer. It’s a YA fantasy where the main character Serilda is taken by an evil god (who leads a group of undead hunters) and forced to spin straw into gold. It’s a rumplestiltskin retelling, so of course she can’t actually do this on her own, and needs make a bargain for someone to help her. There’s a scene where she’s taken to the god’s castle in a carriage, traveling through a dark woods, so that fits.
Google Books preview of Gilded by Marissa Meyer - Charlotte's suggestion:

Quotes from the book:
- The carriage-cage was being drawn by two bahkauv. They were miserable-looking beasts, bull-like, with horns that twisted in corkscrews from their ears and massive hunched backs that forced their heads to hang awkwardly toward the ground ...
- She had been summoned in a carriage made of bones ...

I didn't think I would get an answer because I remembered so little!
