so the books cover is in black and white with possibly newspaper cutouts?? a girls mother who likes hiking goes missing while overseas. she receives postcards and thinks it’s from her mother but it’s actually her father pretending to be her mother. her father and her go to where her mother went missing to try and find her. after searching, the mother is found dead in a cave. its because she had an accident and she had been caving alone.
