I started mine
Book:A Darker Shade of Magic byV.E. Schwab
How it fits: MC in their 20s

COMPLETION POST
Week 12
Spot: 92
Book and Author:

Qualification: #2 in series
Finished: 04/15
Rating: 4*
Stella finds an aristocrat drowned in the river while Lyndy is teaching her the art of fly-fishing. They find themselves getting involved in the investigation into the drowning. At the same time, the victim's spoiled widow keeps making a play for Lyndy, who is already engaged to Stella. It doesn't help that his mother is siding with the widow. There are various side characters who could be guilty; the stakes are raised when one of those is also found murdered. I enjoyed this one and already have the next one in my Kindle library.

Week 12, Spot 92

My Choice: Taken by Susi Hawke
Pages: 154
How it Fits: Team A.L.P.H.A. #2
Date Read: 4/21
Rating: ★★★★
Review: I read this series years ago so now I'm going thru the audiobooks. I enjoy these books. They are short and quick with little angst. Easy listening.

Spot: 92

Book and Author: Try Me by Parker Blue
Qualification: Demon Underground #2
Finished: 4/21/23
Rating: 2 stars
Review:
What we have here is another teen who is the ultimate vampire slayer and seems to have a nice little job with the police department in their paranormal crimes unit. Val is a succubus demon who really does not understand her power completely. We have a bit of a love triangle with the detective she is assigned to work with and a shade demon of the underground. It's all super eye roll material including the hell hound she has that sounds like a fuck boy. Everyone, including centuries old demons and vampires defer to her judgement and think she knows best. This was not the worst book I ever read, but it's pretty dumb.
