POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD read this book probably around 2017-19. didnt really understand it all that well so details are fuzzy. It had a lot to do with schrodinger's cat and the theory that parallel universes are created at every decision. the man was like forty i think, and he like got in a box in his basement and then all kinds of weird things started happening and there were a lot of doors and options for him to choose from. author's name was something like dan brown or david baldacci (though i might be way off with that part)
