Thank god Russians are
homophobes. Without them, there'd
be less in series.
Just not that good. When these work--either because they're just PWP or because they just rip along--I enjoy the reading. Sometimes they're offensive (though I think they get better as the series progresses). This was just dull--the Russian with ingrained homophobia realizes he's a f-slur afterall. But darn if they're not great for challenges.

These Rebels! So hot,
sweet, brave—solid rep from a
mostly MF pen.
This was an early MM read for me, and I was recently disappointed by Meader's latest, which was MF with the pronouns changed. But this was still a pretty solid book, with compelling characters figuring out who and what they wanted to be, in their jobs, with their friends and families, and too each other. I rooted for Cade and Dante. Also, ngl, HOCKEY! It's like an automatic 1/2 star bump for me, despite how much I don't care IRL.

Review: This is a horror/fantasy series featuring Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson as they battle magical forces, monsters, and demons. In this book, Sherlock's brother, Mycroft, calls him for help but by the time Sherlock arrives, Mycroft is dead by his own hand. Thus begins the search to see what horrors drove him to the insanity that caused him to end his life. Then they find that six other members of a club that Mycroft belonged to have also committed suicide all at approximately the same time, all having received a package prior to their suicides. Not your traditional Sherlock Holmes mystery but a fun romp if you like magic and the paranormal mixed in with the mystery.

Review: I've enjoyed this series so far. I really liked the "meet cute" between the MCs in this book. Nothing like going to kill the mark you were hired to kill and walking in on somebody else in the middle of killing them 🤣 Plus I always prefer it when someone who has never been attracted to the same Sex before doesn't have a gay panic moment. Just accept it and enjoy it. This book had my favorite couple story of the series but my least favorite mystery. That's why it only gets 4 stars and not five.

Finally! Stupid
fun, not just stupid. Sweet Sam.
Power gap; love match.
I was about to give up on these books--the last few were duds for me. But this was a much sweeter story, and even though the power imbalance between Dominic and Sam was huge (Dom is older and much richer), the love balance was equal. This is Hazard's formula at its best.

Review: This story rocks. While Seb and Hudson are the main characters, we Learn the Wedding date for Dex's and Sloane's wedding. Second chance for this couple who broke up after a tragic incident but never stopped loving each other! Their last minute wedding was more spectacular than some planned ones I have attended. We also learn Wolf's real Identity. True love is just the beginning of a great relationship, you also have to build a strong foundation to make it last.

Review: Another fun installment in the Pink Carnation series. Using dual timelines, one is present day and one set during the early 1800s. Present day MCs are Eloise and Colin. Eloise is doing research into the agents working as spies during the French Revolution, and the other storyline's MCs are the agents she's researching. In this book, Augustus Whittlesby is the agent working undercover, and Emma Delagardie, a school friend of Napoleon's stepdaughter, is his ticket into Napoleon's household in France. I enjoyed both storylines especially the earlier one as it's the main story. Lovely romances with good characters.

This is one of my favorites in the series. Have you read His at Night? It's got a similar "smart spy playing dumb" plot, but because it's Sherry Thomas and she's a genius, it's much, much better. Also, colored covers.

I know you're not a big romance reader, but I think Sherry Thomas is fantastic. She also has the Lady Sherlock series that I haven't finished but truly love.

Certainly looks like it! The first team to post all their reviews for a spot above 100 (so 101 and up) wins. Your team is the only one close enough to 100 to get to a winning spot with Thursday's roll. :)

With a roll of 6 we can.
By the way, if you've earned the bonus points for reading no alternates or all alternates, don't forget to add them in the Post Your Spot thread.

We now have 4 bonus points that can be used on our next roll.

We only need to roll a 2 or better! Cause we got a lot of bonuses! And are rockstars!
And lucky with the rolls.

We have surely had some lucky rolls. I just knew I'd roll a 1 today but it came up 6!

Review: I have been slowly making my way thru a reread of this series. This is probably my least favorite in the series. I love Crash as a secondary character. I just didn't enjoy him as much as a main character. I just wanted more Vic & Jacob. Even tho it is my least favorite I still think it deserves 4 strong stars because the writing and the audio narrator is A++ quality. I would recommend to anybody interested in this series to just skip this book unless they absolutely need to read every book.
