My name is Sarah Elyse, and I’m a bookstagrammer and book reviewer. I’m looking to review books in the fantasy, romance, and why choose? genres. I struggle with insomnia issues, so I spend most of my nights reading. I’m a relatively fast reader, and I promise to get your book read in a reasonable timeframe. If I can’t meet the agreed upon review date, I will contact you. I can currently provide reviews on Goodreads, BookBub, Instagram, and Facebook. I’m also trying to figure out TikTok, so I will update this when I do. I’m always looking to support new authors, so if you’d like me to review your book/s, comment below! I’ll get back to you ASAP.

S.T. Blake | 3 comments Hi Sarah, I'm looking for reviews for my recently published urban fantasy novel. Transformer Kit is a gritty pop culture comedy & a tender, witty LGBTQ+ love story, featuring the most outrageous hero ever to hit the streets of New York.

Here’s the book blurb -
New York needs a hero. As usual. But is it ready for a hero as outrageously unusual as this?

In the early days of New York’s 70s punk scene, Kitty Hampshire is a young woman still finding her own identity, but she’s certain of one thing - she always knew she was meant to be a man. Kitty’s personality develops under the influence of the legendary characters she meets in NYC’s underground music scene until she has the surgery to affirm her true gender and becomes Kit Simmons.

But other forces are present in the flesh grafted onto Kit’s body, and he finds himself endowed with bizarre superhuman abilities. In an era of turmoil and violence, can Kit really stand against the oppressive forces plotting against New York?

Transformer Kit is a unique fantasy that will make you laugh out loud and gasp in disbelief, starring desperately romantic characters who are fighting for what they believe in the big, bad, beautiful city.

Trigger warnings are profanity, adult humour, sex references and some violence.

If the book sounds like something you might enjoy, I have these links where you can pick up free review copies -

Lara Bronson Hi Sarah,
If you like time travel and paranormal romance that is funny, adventurous, and has Vlad the Impaler as a secondary character, then Bitten by Time might be a great fit for you.

Here is the book description:
After I accidentally time-traveled to Vlad the Impaler's castle, not only did I have to survive as a maid by pretending to be mute, but I also had to avoid a handsome knight who found out about my secret.
Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZRTRGQH/...

Trigger warnings are attempted sexual assault and violence. But for the most part it's very lighthearted and sweet.

Christine Josephs (christine_josephs) | 2 comments Hi Sarah,

I have a second-chance sweet romance book if you're interested. It involves glamping (glamour + camping), perfect for summer!

Here's the description:

***This feel-good starting-over story is perfect for readers who love second-chance, sweet romance novels. ***

Suddenly alone at age thirty-nine, third-grade teacher Sadie Anderson never expected her carefully planned out life would involve leaving her cozy home in Wells, Maine to strike out on a solo cross-country trek in a vintage camper. But that's exactly where she’s headed, as she drives to her first-ever Glamping Girls' Getaway.

Set on rediscovering herself, experiencing adventure, and making new friends, Sadie is convinced there isn’t room in her world for men or romance. But when her camper breaks down and she meets handsome mechanic, Mateo, her heart may have different ideas.

Mateo isn't ready for a relationship though, due to tangled problems from his own romantic past. Problems that Sadie has no intention of getting involved in. With her newfound glamping friends' support, Sadie finds hope for a new career and independence while she rediscovers who she really is.

But will the plans for her future be enough to keep her growing attraction to Mateo at bay?

***
I'd love to have it reviewed sometime in May if possible. If you're interested, please let me know.

Joel Glover | 3 comments In the wastes beyond the Last City, all is quiet. Everyone has heard of the Hundred Blessed. Of the Final War between the Empire of Blue and Green and the Empire of Red and Ivory. Of what they did.

But the war is never over.

You can’t outrun your past.

And you can’t hide from what you’ve done, no matter how hard you might try.

All you can do is walk the Path the God has set out for you. And try to shut out the screams, and the sound of bones breaking beneath your feet.

From Amazon Reviews:

"Fast, immersive and brutal"
"Pacey and dark"
"Superb Grimdark fantasy"

The Path of Pain and Ruin combines the kinetic action of Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series with the unrelenting grim cynicism of Glen Cook's Black Company and Instrumentalities of the Night, to show a vision of a post-apocalyptic fantasy world.

I'd love to send you an Amazon copy!

Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 9 comments Good afternoon (here)! I'm seeking reviewers for my fantasy novel Far From Mortal Realms: A Novel of Humans and Fae, coming out on September 15, 2023 in ebook and paperback formats. I'd be happy to provide a free ebook copy (.epub, .mobi, or PDF) -- at least until September 15th. If I decide to make the ebook available in Kindle Unlimited, I'll thereafter be limited to distributing the PDF file for the paperback edition.

Here's the description.

—–

The many wondrous realms the Fair Folk inhabit offer tempting opportunities for mortals hoping to benefit from faerie magic. But making bargains with the Fair Folk is a dangerous business, for the fae have a habit of leaving loopholes to snare the unwary. Father-and-daughter lawyers Abe and Adira have made a career out of helping their fellow humans reach such agreements safely.

Abe and Adira know the rules for dealing with Fair Folk: don’t reveal your true name, don’t say thank you, don’t accept gifts, don’t eat fae food, don’t tell even the slightest of lies . . . . Oh, and always, no matter the provocation, be unfailingly polite.

A moment of carelessness, a brief lapse, and a professional defender of mortal interests may be in dire need of rescue.

And here's the marvelous cover (by Rebecacovers on Fiverr).

Hello Sarah
I am hoping you will review my latest novel, The Gilgamesh Path. It is a space opera science fiction of app 93,000 words (307 pages) professionally edited by Nanette Sipe of Decadent Publishing.
Here is the short blurb.
One dead man’s body reveals a startling secret. Every cell has been corrupted by a micro-organism that gave him eternal health. The thing is…no one knows where he contracted it as it must have been millions of years ago.
So begins the hunt throughout the galaxy for the micro-organism by two opposing individuals, Calain de Longee of the Galactic Core Amalgamation, and Princess Warkis, second in line of the Pataki Dynastic of the Harkardi Empire. Other forces are also at play. The Guardians, a race of super robots who ensure the peace between humans and the Harkardi, warn against the dangers of the micro-organism, and the Forty-Two Steps, a criminal organization, who wish to claim it for themselves. It’s a contest of wills between Calain and Warkis with galactic implications.

Clay Smith (claysmithwrites) | 2 comments Hi Sarah,

I just published a play: Threads: A Daydream on the Birth of the Universe and the History of Human Thought, and I'd love to get your thoughts on it. I think it's pretty special, and though it has some fantasy elements, it's very much a "why choose" kind of book that tapdances all over the genre spectrum. It's pretty lighthearted and has a sweet love story, too, so if it does manage to help you get to sleep, you'll have nice dreams.

Also, it's a play—fair warning, since some people don't prefer to read them. We're currently in rehearsal for its first full performance run.

Let me know if I can send you over a PDF—it's also on Kindle Unlimited right now, so if you do that, it's available.

Thanks for doing what you do!

Hi Sarah, my name is Kahlani. I have published my debut novel, Resilient: She Will Not Be Defeated. Below is a synopsis of my book.

Charly Sawyer is a young woman trying to find her place in the world when she meets Dominic Price, her boss and VP of the Iconic Sons MC. Despite her attraction to Dominic, growing up in the foster system has made Charly wary of men and relationships.
After a harrowing attack one night, Charly and her friend Jess seek refuge within the MC’s protective walls. At the clubhouse, she encounters Dominic’s charismatic cousin, Jax, and the air crackles with an undeniable spark.
When the men reveal their interest in her, Charly’s insecurities emerge. Soon, jealousies erupt from her coworkers, including Jess, prompting Charly to set aside her fears. She begins a journey of pleasure and self-discovery with Dom and Jax.
Unfortunately, their relationship is fraught with resentment, betrayal, and sabotage. And when her life is threatened, Charly’s only option is to escape.
