Miran Russell | 1 comments I'm currently struggling to look for a book I've read before so here's part of the ending so if u know the book plz tell me: a book where the characters get trapped in a van that slowly fills with carbon dioxide and are only able to get out after a friend texts to a whole bunch of people that there is a rave in the area. Also some of the characters dust for finger prints sometime during the book. I read the book in 2019 or 2020 when I was put in foster care, I really loved this book but I can't remember the name. I was 12, it was a young adult book and was my comfort book during all the chaos happening. Please help me find it. know it was mystery.

Dave Wegner | 13 comments Could it be "To Catch a Killer" by Sheryl Scarborough?

The last scene involves the characters getting trapped in a van filling with carbon monoxide...though that is not a major part of the plot.

Google Books preview of To Catch a Killer by Sheryl Scarborough - Dave's suggestion:
https://books.google.com/books?id=T1m...

Quotes from the book:
- "... and a bunch of kids showed up looking for a rave."
- ... and throw my body forward until I pull the van into one of the gears, but instead I begin to cough and gasp for fresh air. I can't breathe and I can't stop coughing.
- Following his detailed descriptions I taught myself the basics, how to lift fingerprints and analyze hair.

Miran, I removed the spoiler (how they are rescued from the van) from the header/ topic title. Feel free to edit it.

Do you recall anything about the type of mystery, characters, location?
