Recent reads would be: Between Earth and Sky Series (Black Sun is #1), Elder Race by Adrian Tchaikovsky, The Broken Earth Series (The Fifth Season #1), The First Sister Trilogy... I also recently read Greg Bear's "The Way" Series... I enjoyed it, but it is a more dense higher-level read.
