Hello Cory,
I have a romance thriller that I suspect you wouldn't be only interested in, but also surprised by. It's realistic, but strikes most people around the world as fantasy. In fact, it's based on true events. And they're happening as we speak. Main characters are college students, so it overlaps YA and adult. It has the main feature of YA, i.e. anti-establishment. And it's dystopian in ways I haven't seen or heard in any novel or movie.
It deals with religion, but not what you think. It takes place in a theocratic, yet contemporary, world. Think Middle Ages with modern tech!
Significant potential to be a bestseller. The subject is already getting more media attention than any publisher can afford. But it's a black box. And my story deciphers it.
This initial draft is very short, 30k to 40k. Please send me your email if you're interested in something fresh.

Hi Cyrus!! Id love to! my email is cory.readss@gmail.com
Hi Cory,Regarding your genre preferences, I have a completed YA Fantasy /Romance with large character development and first person POV. While it follows many tropes of the genre, it purposefully subverts many of them, but in a subtle, slow-burn kind of way.
My manuscript is a bit longer at 105k but I'd be very happy if you just wanted to read a few chapters at a time.
Thank you for your interest!
Hey Cory!I'm looking for some free betas to read my chapters as a write them, and give feedback. (There are currently 6 written.) I am by no means a published writer, but I have several finished drafts for book 1, and several written chapters for book 2.
Why am I not published? Because I simply do not have the time or energy at the moment to become so. However, I do try to write for this new story (book 2) once a week.
Basically, I'm looking for someone who just wants to read my new chapters for fun, and give some feedback, either constructive criticism and/or fun comments. You just need someone to give you a bit of encouragement the first time you write your draft, you know?
If you are interested in free updates on a YA fantasy story involving a curse, a princess, adorable friend and parent dynamics, and a journey to self-love, shoot me an email at vanessachase02@gmail.com or reply to me here on Goodreads. I'll also send my draft of my first story upon request.
Thanks!

Hi Cory,I have an action adventure/thriller novel about a grieving British MI6 agent who signs back up to the Service and gets caught up in the middle of a brewing civil war in Rwanda. 75k words - please do let me know if you're interested.

Hello, I have recently finished my Fantasy book: Ashes of Revenge (98k words). I would describe this as a YA Fantasy book and would love to have a Beta Reader(s) read and review it! If you would only be willing/able to do a chapter or two that is fine as well! In the land of Corrail five species use hate and spite to make the land a violent cesspool. Raven, a badly burned Mundus, knows that better than anyone. Betrayed by her Kingdom, and left for dead in enemy territory, she wants nothing but revenge against the Mundus King.
Years after the incident, an unlikely trio forms with similar interests: Colt, an anxiety-ridden Shifter with a skill for killing, and Richard, an overly strict Farian with the ability to strategize against anything and one. The small group devise a plan to ensure the Kingdom they live in is protected against the others that oppose and threaten war.
Just as they begin to make progress, a new player in their twisted game appears: Death. Moving his players, the group end up in Raven’s old Kingdom with a new mission for the group to follow. With Death promising that Colt and Richard will be hurt if she doesn’t do as she’s told, she agrees to the deal. But vengeance courses so fast beneath her skin that nothing can stop her from getting what she wants. Not even Death.

Hi Cory,I have an 80k contemporary romance, which I would love to get your feedback on. it has not one, but TWO strong female leads, and the narration is in first person!
GUILTY OF LOVE- my book is a cross between women's fiction and romance genre. This book is about two young Indian women and the story of their struggle with guilt as they strive to make the right decisions when the same decisions in the past have led to some wrong and dire consequences. Narrated in alternating voices of Ramya and Siri, this is an inter-woven, and a parallel romance story highlighting their journey – a tale of love, loss, guilt, redemption, and forgiveness.
It is overall a fun read, but with plenty of deep and poignant parts in it, guaranteed to make you smile through your wet eyes. I am very new to the writing world and would really appreciate any unbiased feedback/ critic any of you are willing to provide. please message me if you want to read my manuscript.
Sincerely
Ashwini
Hi Cory! I need a beta reader for my YA sci-fi/fantasy novel. It's 80k and here's the blurb:Asher still has a connection to his sister, even in the afterlife. Like the rest of the children there, he has to wait for the day his family comes for him. But when things begin to go terribly wrong, Ash wonders if he’s the key to fixing the problem or if he’s the cause.
On the run and fighting to survive ever since her brother’s funeral, Lynn must discover who she really is and what that means not only for her future, but also Ash’s and all the children with him in the afterlife.
SONG OF SOULS is a dual point of view Young Adult Sci-Fi/Fantasy with siblings in search of family and a place to belong. On their journeys they discover that love sings loudest of all.
Let me know if you are interested. Thanks so much!
Susan
Hi Cory,Any room to beta read a 65k word YA dystopian? If so I'll send you my blurb to see if you're interested.
Thanks!
Kristin
Hi Cory, I am also Corey. You've had quite a few responses but I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring. I have a 130k word epic fantasy that's gone through several rounds of betas and needs some fresh eyes. Looking at your criteria, it has about half your likes and none of your dislikes: world building, large character development, minor romance plot lines, and strong females. It's in third-person omniscient.
Let me know!

Hi Cory,
I have a feeling you’ve been inundated with Beta read requests. But if you still have room on your TBR list dance-card, I’d love your input. I am writing a series with a psychic detective. The first book is called THE SPIDER BITE MURDERS and is a 90K-word mystery with psychic elements.
Happy to send more information and/or the manuscript—or look at www.craigstrickland.net for my credits. Thanks for your time!

Hi Cory, if you still have some room, I would love to have your feedback on a 114k paranormal romance involving Weres, Fae, angels and demons. This will be the third romance novel I'll send to my publisher.
I'll completely understand if you're snowed under requests, but if you're interested, please contact me at:

Looks like your reading time is filling up quickly! What's your timeline if you were to add another? 119K word historical women's fiction...
Hi! Not sure if you're still doing this, but I have a 111k young adult/thriller/coming of age that I'd love to have read. It focuses on a young boy who goes missing and eight local kids who realize they all know something about his disappearance. If you're interested, you can reply or email me at lianafarren@gmail.com. Thank you!
Hi Cory! It looks like you've got a lot on your plate, so no worries if you're not looking for anything new! But I’ve just finished the 135k second draft of my book Thirteen Sleeping Angels and I’m looking for a few beta readers’ feedback before I move to the next phase of editing :) It’s a dark, magical story set in modern Rome but is influenced heavily by ancient mythology.Thirteen magical strangers are recruited into a mysterious, dark program called the Trial of the Divine, wherein they spend thirteen months competing in a brutal competition hosted at Il Museo della Notte – a museum that only opens at nightfall. Each month, one magician is eliminated, until December 13th, when the final player claims victory and is granted one wish, as well as initiation into the secret society that hosts the competition. But, just as the game is getting started, a string of murders takes place, and the course of the competition is forever changed. While pitted against one another, the magicians must also hunt down the evasive killer and try their best to form no lasting bonds with their competitors.
I think we'd get along well, so let me know if you're keen!! You can read out to me here or via email, greymercy13@gmail.com :D
Hello Cory,I have a contemporary novel at 158k words which I believe will satisfy many of your genre interests. If you'd like to look at only a few chapters at a time, that's fine.
Blurb:
One morning in a coffee shop, Alex is beside himself to meet Pete Shehann, whom it seems has some experience in the very subject of which he is a self-proclaimed enthusiast. Reluctant yet prompted, Pete shares his story, beginning with how his father abandoned him as a child in rural 1930s Oklahoma, leaving him embittered and believing himself a failure, proven time and again. And marrying May couldn’t be luck at all but a fluke, even if she has her own problems. After losing all of her family in a tragic accident, a terrible void remains, and she wants children more than anything.
An unexpected inheritance raises suspicions yet sends Pete and May to a new life in Oregon, where they meet Stevens, the attorney handling the inheritance and proving himself a faithful friend in the years to come. But a tragedy that happened on their journey haunts Pete, eventually conforming to an eerie parallel with May after her health fails following the negative results of an infertility test. It greatly disturbs Pete to discover he isn’t even enough for his own wife to want to live, but he determines to do whatever it takes to save her. And what of himself? Is he destined a lifetime of failure?

Hi Cory,
My name is Vanessa Henry Miles and I have a book that I think you might like. Please give it a chance!
Alex Black has spent most of her life rescuing and saving animals. She's happy in her life. She's strong, independent and chronically alone. Alex and her sister Izzy opened a pet rescue and spend most of their time finding forever homes for their rescues. But Alex can't stop dreaming about the one person she can’t have. Not only is Dominic Warren not physically in Star Valley, but he is also a good family friend and her best friend's older brother. Unfortunately for her, she can not stop reliving the one and only kiss they shared before he rode away into the sunset. Taking her heart with him. When Dom comes home for a visit, their worlds collide and Alex's world is turned upside down. Will she giddy up, or giddy on out?
This is a spicy romance, you won’t be able to put down.
Content Warning;
This book contains swear words and sexually explicit scenes, including intercourse.
Hi Cory,My overall Goodreads rating is a 4.35 and on Amazon it's about 4.2. My work is polished and has been well received. My current project is a horror short story collection called Screams All the Way Down. I would love to get your feedback on it. It's 48K words, 20 stories that average about 4-5 pages each. It is shorter and an easier read than most novels. If you're interested, I can send your more info. I'm really only looking for general feedback on what works and what doesn't so no need for hugely detailed feedback.
My email is bilrichardsonauthor@gmail.com
Look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Cory --I'm looking for beta readers for a fantasy around 78,000 words long. I'll provide a list of questions for beta readers to address, though it isn't necessary to answer all of them. (I also welcome additional comments.)
This fantasy involves the Fair Folk and their interactions with humans -- with the additional twist that the protagonists are lawyers who help humans make deals with the Fair Folk, protecting them from falling for loopholes and tricks. The book is Far From Mortal Realms: A Novel of Humans and Fae, and you can read more about it at that link.
If you're interested, please let me know by replying to this message or (even better) emailing me at kawyle@att.net. Thanks!

Could you please read the first two chapters of my epic fantasy (mystery) fiction?
Hi Cory, how are you doing? It's a "What-if" come true. We all have "What ifs?" in our life. We were couple that dated in college and meet 26 years later. We spent 2 weeks together in condo having not seen each other. I started writing this true love story many years ago. It is about 70K words and has sex scenes. If you are interested in reading, I can send you a copy or share it from office 365. Any feedback or suggestions would be Greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Keatington
Hi Cory,I realise you posted this offer at the beginning of the year, so it might not be valid anymore...but here goes anyway...
I have an 88k YA dystopian romance that I am looking for a beta reader for. It's called The Inflictor.
Here's a very short and very much a work-in-progress blurb:
"At seventeen, Eryna is living her best life. Just as well as when she turns eighteen, inflicting pain will become her full-time job.
While being an Inflictor was never a choice, can she escape from becoming the monster she's destined to become?"
If you're interested please do let me know!
Thanks!

I finished my 50k romance novel (erotic). Please find short description bellow: Get ready for 'Unfinished Chapter,' a red-hot love story that unfolds the lives of Hannah and Tom, inseparable best friends since their teenage years.
Hannah, an adventurous beauty known for making troublesome decisions, finds herself stuck in a rocky long-term relationship with Victor. Tom, the kind and funny guy, secretly pines for Hannah, always there to catch her when she falls.
When Tom moves to the United States, the temperature between them spikes as Hannah realizes her love for him. This story weaves back and forth between the past and present, revealing their passionate love story. Missed chances, bad timing, and wrong partners keep them apart, leaving their love story incomplete.
In 'Unfinished Chapter,' their intense connection will leave you breathless, making you wonder: will the last sensual chapter of their epic love story ever be written?"
Thanks in advance!
Hello. I just finished my first novel and I was wondering if you would like to give it a read. It's called Scarred and is complete at 92K words. Here's the blurb:Set in Los Angeles, Scarred is the story of a woman coming to terms with unbelievable trauma while at the same time discovering an internal strength greater than she ever thought she had. Sarah, a former Marine who had settled into a comfortable life with her husband and young daughter, thought she had reached the pinnacle of suburban comfort when a case of mistaken identity throws everything into chaos. Consumed by her hatred and pain, Sarah begins to plot her revenge against the people and forces responsible for the horrific death of her family.
Cutting herself off from the outside world, Sarah trains ferociously in an effort to transform herself, both mentally and physically, back into the soldier she once was. Simultaneously, she commits herself to investigating the heinous crime that irrevocably changed her life forever. After waging a violent crusade, she comes to realize that EcstaZen, a massive pharmaceutical company based in downtown Los Angeles, has created the new street drug sweeping the city, which was, inadvertently, the cause of her misfortune.
Full of daring action sequences, moments of quiet, dark introspection, and the kinds of narrative twists and turns that are sure to keep even the most jaded reader guessing, Scarred will take readers on a roller coaster of emotion and adventure. As the story unfolds, we realize that everyone exists in a state of moral ambiguity, and it’s never quite so clear who is “good” and who is “bad.”
I'm looking for brutally honest feedback on everything from pacing, character development, tone, how easy the plot is to follow, and how interesting the overall story is.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Cory, I have a contemporary women's lit novel that I am currently writing (currently ~70K words and will end around 80-85K words). I would love for you to beta read what has been written to date. I'm looking for feedback on the plot line, pacing, character development, and generally if the novel is interesting and engaging to the reader. I appreciate all feedback, positive and negative. If you'd like more information or may be interested, please let me know.
Hey Cory! I have a Time Travel that is borderline mystery and fantasy and was wondering if you would read and edit it for me. The main thing I need checked would be the beginning—it has flashbacks to the day before alternating with the present but because I have read it over so many times I can’t tell if it was a good idea to do the flashbacks or if it would be better to simply have the timeline run normally, if you want me to send the manuscript to you, please reply to this comment. It is about 15k words so far, but depending on the way we would decide to make it it could go over or under that word count. Thank you for your time!

Hi Cory,I have written a 69k erotic novel. Let me know if you are interested in reading the first chapters.

Giulia has finally left the family business to try to make it on her own when she meets Michael who makes her question her priorities. He is a car designer whose family owns a luxurious car company and who struggles to find inspiration for his next car design. That changes once he meets Giulia at the Edinburgh car convention.
The couple embarks on a hedonistic journey together, not the least one in their own minds. A proof that intelligence is the highest form of aphrodisiac. This is a story about sensuality and elevated sexual experiences set in beautiful environments and stimulating dialogue.
