Do you have any 2023 reading goals you're excited about? If so, we'd love to hear them!

I went through my GR to-read shelf and purged the crap out of it. It's only home to the authors/series I'm currently reading already, and if it's a series, it only lists the next installment. Also, I created a "I Own" shelf, for the books I've already purchased and want to read.Basically, my reading goal is to actually READ what I've bought. (As though that will stop me from continuing to buy.)
I need to organize my shelves, as well.I am being very targeted in my reading as well. Authors I already know and love. I have a lot of series I want to read by seasoned authors that are quite new to me.
For example, I read House of Earth and Blood last year, and now I REALLY want to make it through a chunk of SJMs back list this year. I also want to prioritize getting caught up on the Hidden Legacy series.
There are some Mystery/Thriller authors (Sager, Feeney and Ware,) whose back lists I want to read. Though I only have one Feeney left, and I am going to be sad when I read it and don't have any new ones left. She is one of my all-time favorite authors.
I also want to reread some of my favorite Historical Romances from a few decades ago, as nothing current is capturing my interest.
Lots of fun goals! I want to limit new-to-me authors and ARCs from unknown authors down to a big goose egg!
I outted ARC's too, but new to me authors may stick around, because that's how I've found some of my favorite newer authors.

But I feel like, at this point, requesting a new to me author knowing that I have a high chance of not liking it, doesn't feel like a good faith request.
Goodreads need to implement a "Like" feature in threads. :DSpeaking of library cards, mine is coming in the mail! Whoop whoop!

Yay!!! Welcome to the dark side! Mwahahha!
My goal is to read 12 books this year... that seems so sad but i'm trying to get back into reading again. My plan is to read books from my nightstand or books I already own but haven't read yet. At least that's the plan.
Sadly I think my Library card expired. I need to go get one
No real plan. I always punch in a number on GR Reading Challenge but I don’t really care about it.
I’ve been trying to read more books by women of colour so I guess that’s still the plan.
Leea, 12 books a year is a great goal. That's one book a month, and I know my 2021 year I only read 7, so don't even think about it. Just enjoy. The Goodreads challenge is my nemesis. There have been times I've tried to leave it blank, but then it just alerts you over and over to set a challenge. Then, if I sent one, and get behind, then it shames you. I went for 100 this year, my usual. It's the first time I've felt like reading a lot since 2018, so I think I'll be good.
Ian, reading books by women of colour is a great goal.
