This book is military fiction. I read the book in the late 1990s. The book is about China invading the United States. But they invaded from the South as in Florida, Georgia etc.. It is told from the perspective of a ground trooper. It starts with a young female replacement and her squad is sent to the South to fight China. That is about all I can remember.
