King of Scars
question
do anyone else feels like this duology is a bit off?

idk, shadow and bone & six of crows were good, I loved reading about grisha and how their powers work. But in this book, this duology, the magic system just doesn't sit right with me. and why did *he* showed up again? why didn't make another new conflict, completely new problems? Plus, what was Nina doing in this series anyway? She and Nikolai never encounter one another in this book, and it made the book feels like two novels with two different stories squashed up into one book because one of the novels was boring. I love Nina, don't get me wrong. But in this series... it feels pointless.

The magic system was completely broken with the duology. Now it’s wattpad fanfiction.
And *he * was brought back so that Leigh could spit on his fans. The character assassination and retcons to complete the assassination were intentional.

SPOILERS OF KOS, SHADOW AND BONE AND SOC
YES. I still really loved this duology, but I did feel like it was completely pointless bringing back the darkling, and the magic system did not feel right to me at all. I also felt like Nina's character was just soley based off of Matthias's death, and there were not any other defining traits with her. I felt like this was a really anticlimactic ending to an entire universe.

Omg yes. I thought smthing was wrong withm. i was like: ,, I like fantasy, right?" The magic system was very off indeed. Nikolia and zoja's pov bored me to death (and I hate both of them. I didn't hate Nikolai - always hated Zoja- but in this book he lost the spark he had. At least for me.) And *he* showing up was totally unnecesarry, but I guess he will be the only good thing in the second book. (bc sadly I already bought it, so I need to read it. I wish I could dnf-)
